Instead of another meeting....
Techniques of particular art forms, the disciplines, are in fact simply tools which can be employed to make the concerns of art communicable. Drawing is good for performance students; performance is good for poets. We need to provide the theoretical framework to accommodate people who have different abilities but similar social functions. Art is an activity or process, not a skill set. Comparing apples and oranges is pointless, but we can have an interesting discussion about what it means to be a fruit.
